Bandsaw Machine CTB7040-CNC

The CTB7040 industrial carbide bandsaw machine is developed for high production, and accuracy at low cost per cut, but with a wider cutting capacity from 30mm x 30mm to 730mm x 430mm cutting section of material.

The cutting control system presets feeds and speeds according to material specification selected by the operator. This unit has 229 pre-defined material specifications, with another 100 user definable material specifications available for special materials. Feeds and speeds are automatically set to achieve the lowest cost cutting with the fastest cutting rates possible.

This machine has been designed hand-in-hand with the multifaceted Amada carbide band saw blade for the optimal cut time and cost. The combination of these two Amada products can achieve cutting rates in excess of 15 square inches per minute while holding accuracy’s well within the + – 0.05/mm of diameter.


Windows based CNC Control
The functions and set up of this industrial carbide bandsaw machine are controlled by a Windows based touch screen. Simple to use it enables the operator to choose the size, type, tolerance and number of cuts required of most materials, then JUST PRESS GO. The machine will cut the material and give optimum performance. The screen gives an estimated finish time for each job and a history of cutting and fault finding information is also accessible.

Large capacity
This machine has 3 blade wheels for wider cutting capacity. Up to 730 x 430mm rectangular material.

Motor and Transmission
A high powered 7.5 kw motor coupled with a special high efficiency transmission maintains high cutting rates even when cutting the toughest of materials.

Maximum Blade Width
A 41mm wide blade 4715mm long 1.3mm thick enabling faster feeds and speeds achieving phenomenal cutting rates even on tough materials such as Inconel, Hastelloy and Monel.

Blade Deviation Monitor
The CNC controller constantly monitors the cutting and blade conditions including the deflection of the saw blade. The maximum allowable deviation is specified for each direction. When either of these values is exceed the machine will stop cutting and indicate the reason for stopping.

Automatic Adjust Wire Brushes
Automatically adjusted double wire brush design assures keeping the chip area of the blade clean for maximum life of blade and brushes in all types of cutting.

Automatic powered chip conveyor
This is situated in the base of the machine and covers the whole area ensuring very efficient swarf removal.

Smart Multiple Index
The machine control has the capability to make up to 2 index passes giving a maximum cut length of 800mm. in automatic. The NC micro processor controls the index cycle enabling the machine to cut different lengths in sequence from the same work piece and provides a ‘Smart Multiple Index’ cycle for cut lengths greater than the single index stroke of 300mm. The index cycle makes full length index passes.
