After almost 40 years experience of sawing metal, Accurate Cutting Services knows that there is no single, simple solution for all sawing applications.

Today’s wide range of metals includes a large number of advanced alloys with extreme thermal, chemical and/or mechanical properties (suited to use in engines, chemical plants, and aerospace). They are extremely demanding of blades.

A supplier of blades needs to have a thorough understanding of the challenges faced by his customers to be able to provide the right solution, whether that centres on cost, fastest cuttingrates or the best finish. Then, he should provide a range of blades sufficient to meet the most demanding of applications.

Band and circular saw blade supply

Accurate Cutting Services can provide the right blade from a wide number of variations developed to tackle specific metals and sections.

The company can supply carbon steel, bi-metal and tungsten carbide band-saw blades, and HSS, SHSS, TCT and segmental circular saw blades to suit most metal-cutting machines in use.

Blade geometries, grades and special coatings are available to cut the most sophisticated of modern steels and aerospace alloys.

A large and comprehensive stock-holding means that most orders can be completed for overnight or next day delivery. An extensive range of sawing consumables is maintained, also, including cutting fluids, lubricating oils and oil-absorbent granules, for immediate despatch.

Blade service

The company provides a skilled and comprehensive saw blade grinding and repair service, also.

Repair and service is available for:

• HSS and SHSS circular saw blades
• segmental saw blades
• carbide-tipped circular saw blades
• solid carbide circular saw blades
• bimetal band-saw blades – re-weld, grind
• carbide band-saw blades – re-weld and regrind.

Incoming blades are inspected using optical comparators to determine the blade geometry and tooth wear and damage. This inspection ensures that the original blade geometry will be accurately reproduced, or highlighted where modification could improve its performance.

HSS blades are serviced using the latest CNC robotic grinding machines using CBN grinding wheels, giving extended blade life and performance.

Bi-metal and tungsten carbide-tipped blade can be re-welded, reground and reset to gain extra blade life. This can be especially cost-effective with TCT blades, where the blade acquisition cost is high. Sharpening and repair goes on around the clock during the week, and the company’s vans collect daily within its publicised service area.
